Living LIFE Means Risks and Rewards

Most of us want the decisions we make in LIFE  to have little downside risk, play it safe.  Unfortunately, what used to be safe in the world of “making a living”, having a job,  is now less secure.  People debate returning to school for another degree to try to secure a source of income and are going through the process of weighing the pro’s and con’s of that adventure.  What is the time commitment?  How much will it cost?  Is it really what I want to do for the next 25-30 years? Will there be a market when I complete my degree?  It is important to consider the downside risk and the upside reward of our decisions. What decision can we make that can only help us?  Orrin Woodward encourages everyone to dive into the best investment you can ever make – yourself.  What is the upside reward of improving yourself, of becoming more knowledgeable to perform better?  A more fulfilled LIFE.  Many people I have spoken with who are on the journey of improving their relationships, finances, faith and leadership, have shared an increase feeling of self-worth.  They feel they are now able to contribute more in helping the people around them.  When a person has the feeling of accomplishment, they become more radiant, a light for others.  For me, I know diving into the book Launching a Leadership Revolution  helped me take practical steps in improving areas of my life, especially with relationships (which I continue to work on).  What is the downside risk of improving yourself through quality information?   People are already spending lots of money on entertaining themselves and this could be shifted to purchasing better information from credible sources.  Less time for entertainment, some pain in facing truths about ourselves in how we see and treat others (which only will make us more compassionate) could be seen as downside risks.  I believe the downside risk is so minimal and the upside rewards so  inspiring that everyone should subscribe to LIFE information.  The people we interact with are worth us becoming a better me.       Have a Happy and Thankful Thanksgiving,  Renee
